Ceibita Restaurant, nestled in the heart of Birmingham at 5005 Richard Arrington Jr Blvd N, is a true culinary gem for anyone craving authentic Honduran flavors. This vibrant eatery masterfully delivers the rich, comforting flavors of Honduras, bringing a slice of the Caribbean to Alabama with every dish served. Whether you're a devoted fan of Central American cuisine or an adventurous foodie, Ceibita invites you into an atmosphere where warmth, tradition, and flavor blend effortlessly.
The menu is a delicious exploration of Honduran staples crafted with fresh ingredients. The Pollo Frito (fried chicken) is golden and crisply succulent, perfectly accompanied by traditional sides like chimol and frijoles, each bursting with authentic, tangy zest. For those who prefer a lighter option, the Sin Carne garden salad offers vibrant greens topped with a choice of grilled chicken or shrimp, both grilled to tender perfection and seasoned with subtle Caribbean spices. Seafood lovers will find paradise in their Camarones A La Parrilla (grilled shrimp) or Camarones Fritos (fried shrimp), which arrive juicy and flavorful, perfectly balancing texture and taste.
Small plates like the Tostada de Pollo and the indulgent Ceviche de Camarón highlight the fresh, bright flavors representative of coastal Honduras, making each bite feel like a celebration of vibrant seaside markets. And don’t overlook the array of sides—from creamy avocado to lightly fried plantains—each crafted to elevate your dining experience authentically.
Ceibita’s interior is inviting and lively, embodying the spirit of Honduras with Caribbean music playing softly in the background, creating a joyful and welcoming environment. Diners often remark on the warm customer service, with staff eager to share the culture behind the cuisine. Owner Felicia Reynolds encapsulates this spirit perfectly, offering a space where you not only enjoy a meal but also embrace a cultural experience. Though a few patrons have noted the air conditioning could be improved, the overall ambiance remains cozy and heartfelt, reminding you that you’re not just eating—you’re part of a community.
Beyond the food, the connection made with customers elevates dining here to something special. Bessie Hannon’s experience of friendly conversation and genuine care is emblematic of why Ceibita stands out—where hospitality and food come together in wonderful harmony. Nathalie Leon’s words summarize it beautifully: “My first bite sent me back home.” It’s a testament to Ceibita’s skill in delivering true Honduran taste away from home, making each visit not just a meal, but a soul-satisfying journey.
For those eager to immerse themselves in genuine Honduran cuisine with a Caribbean twist, Ceibita Restaurant promises a flavorful, heartfelt experience that will linger long after the last bite.

It would have been five-star across the board, but their air conditioning is insufficient. Food was delicious! I had the pollo en coco.
